Head to toe in boutique goods, except the shoes. You can find them at aokang.com. Very girly look, lots of sparkly details, and almost a little bit too short for church. Hence keeping it modest with some tights.

Very simple t-shirt and jeans dressed up with a leather jacket and suede riding boots. It was such a miracle that my hair held its curl after a whole day at school.

waking up to the snow on my birthday

Wore this to the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit a few days back. This is my first jumpsuit hehe. I’ve been wanting one for a few years now but I finally found one that doesn’t make me look like a saggy balloon. Same necklace and jacket as a previous post. This is what I initially wore before switching to flat shoes for the day. The exhibit was very fascinating. Gaultier is not one of my favorite designers, then again I may be too conservative to fully appreciate avant garde, but there were more than one pieces that I have come to love. One of my favorite ensembles from the exhibit was the beautiful white Indian gown with elaborate headpiece. There were also very wearable pieces from his pret-a-porter collections including some Effel Tower fishnet tights that I really do want. It may take a while for me to accept the genius of his corsets for men and signature Madonna cone bras, but I did find the excessive chiffon and ostrich feathers intriguing. While I admire him for his strong message of expressing gender equality, I can’t help but dislike the provocative nature of most of his work. Then again art is often provocative, and perhaps I have never had an artist’s eye.

Spent the first day of the year snapping photos in the park. Everything I’m wearing is pretty much nameless so we’ll call them “vintage” haha. I really ought to take my hair-ties off in pictures. I’m such a teenager.

All my pictures are old because I just started this blog 24 hours ago! and am hurrily trying to transfer all my chictopia photos. You can picture the curiosity of by-passers in the park upon seeing a girl posing under a bridge in stilettos.
Is hurrliy even a word?

My cheeks are so ginormous. I got this butterfly sleeve top in Shanghai last year and decided to pair it with a vintage tutu skirt and a bangle made of seashells bought on the beach. I’ll admit, I try so very hard to be classy, but we’ll see if I succeed.

Accessories can make(save) an outfit. I opted for an American Eagle scarf and some bobby socks to add some to boring tank top and shorts. The coral cardigan is from a store I cannot pronounce/spell haha, but it added a nice touch of color to an otherwise lethargic school day.

Photo shot on the day of graduation banquet. When planning anything that requires excessive walking, comfort is key. Threw on a simple but chic floral(again) skirt and kitten heels just dressy enough to pair with a modest cocktail dress in the evening. Super easy ensemble. I love how flowy and versatile the shirt is.
